Who reads my blog?

OMG, my two brothers! And my sisters and nephews and nieces and in-laws…..

OK, I give you a little background info. I am that ‘accident’ last kid in the family. My four siblings, comprising two brothers and two sisters were between 14 years to 10 years older than me. So, growing up was pretty much on my own because by then, they were either working or married.

That’s why I am such an independent, fiery, rebellious, ‘die-oso-die as long as I get to say and do what I want’ kinda person because I have never been curbed with strict family rules. But of course lah, I turned out ok because somehow or other my father’s strict principles as a respected teacher had rubbed off my brothers and sisters who in turned rub off on me. My father died when I was seven years old, you see.

And my second bro who works in the civil service left this comment :

Little sis, you now terror. You reasoned like Bertrand Russel. Atta girl !

Doh, I have never heard of Bertrand Russel until now. Ok, ok, now I know ‘cos there is Wikepedia.

Meanwhile, my eldest bro had warned me, “Eh, when you blog, you be careful hor?” And I told him, “Never mind wannn….whatever I quoted, I grab from the media, I don’t create my own story. (only my own opinions)”

Last night, I stumbled on this piece written by Lim Kit Siang in December 1998. It was a father’s lament for his missing son who had to spend three birthdays and three Christmases in jail. Actually someone was looking for Lim Guan Eng’s birthday (it is 8th December 1960 for the kepochees out there) and I back-tracked the searches and found this old-old piece which is 10 years old. I think even Lim Kit Siang must have forgotten about that piece he wrote and I wonder if Lim Guan Eng even knows about it. But do read it, everyone.

There is a beautiful poem written by someone. Although it was dedicated to Lim Guan Eng, I think today, it serves to remind us that there are still so many of these prisoners in ISA who needs our prayers and our action. We must demand that the Government release the Hindraf 5 because of the inhumane treatment in ISA and also the injustice. This whole Terengganu MB fiasco revealed to us how ugly injustice is in our country. There is no law, only BN final say.

Also do read this piece found on the Malaysian Bar where some lawyers visited the ISA detainees.

  • So, the SPM results is out but this time, the all As students won’t get front page because the sore losers (from you know where lah) who are living in denial need to ‘jom’ the front pages to keep bluffing themselves they won.

Anyway, it is also good because when the media harped too much on all As students, it will cause more parents to become more kiasu and pressure their children to study even harder and more school kids will turn cuckoo and ……

Ok, ok, that’s my excuses for not producing all As kids. But seriously, there are people who are smarter and there are people who are street smart and there are people who are barely there. Once we start to embrace this reality of human lives, we will become better parents.

    And?

    And?

    And?

STP already SMS me this morning about results. Sorry I didn’t reply because my Celcom kena barred because my online payment didn’t get through.

To answer STP question - Yes lah, my son also got A in English lah. I didn’t know they even study what English in Science and Technology subject on top of the normal English subject. He failed his Sejarah though. Maybe because his mom poisoned her children’s minds that all the Sejarah textbooks have been censored. The History subject has been tailored to favour the PREVIOUS ruling coalition party. So, maybe that’s why he failed lah. LOLZ. He is a Science student so Sejarah bungkus tak apalah.

Anyway, he is interested in culinary arts and may not want to go to Form Six. How many As? Kenot tell, it is his own privacy. His friends read my blog so I cannot reveal too much about him.

See how lah, Form Six or college. Read After SPM, Form Six or college and see the feedback from readers. No sweat lah, whatever is fine with us.

To those who left comment to ask if they can check their SPM or STPM results online, I don’t think you can. You know our country lah….

  • Blood!

Are you afraid of the sight of blood?

If I see blood, I automatically feel my own blood drained and chills run all over my body.

And if that is your own kid, then, all the more dramatic.

So, #2 son accidentally got a nasty cut on his foot.

He called #1 and I heard it. I knew something is wrong.

True enough, #1 later called me.

    “Mom….#2 needs you.”

Me : Now, what happened? Got blood?

#1 : All over the floor. (he is just pulling my legs)

Me : Like this, I am not going to see. Wait, I call papa. Unless no one else around and it is a life and death situation, don’t call me. Geli nyerrr……Where is his cut?

#1 : On his wrist (again he is teasing me)

And now, the father and son has gone to the hospital to stitch up the cut.

But if you think it is serious, it is not to those two. They took super macro shot to show me the opening but I refused. I had to view through my fingers. Like watching horror movie like that.

So, #2 was hopping on one foot. And #1 used the pulley (trolley we use to push heavy things) to bring the OKU (orang kurang upaya) down the lift to the car.

#1 : Oh, man…I don’t think you can wear shoes for a long time.

    #2 : Yahoo! I can ponteng school.

Haih…..18 years of parenting and I still cannot deal with a bleeding kid. I may have given CPR to my own kid who have stopped breathing but nah, ah…the sight of blood still drains my own blood. I am good in telling parents how to deal with bleeding but I cannot stand the sight of it.

But funny wei, how come women who cannot stand the sight of blood, don’t faint every month from the sight of it?
